Antique & Collectible Events Calendar
The actual title of this new page is our "Antique & Collectible Shows, Markets and Events Calendar". There are some very interesting events that promote antiques & collectibles in Michigan and we are very excited about promoting them. Our users will have a central location to find these events, organized by date and location.

MAD Home Page The location of an event will be displayed on the date of that event. Below the calendar is a chronological list of the events for that month. The name, city and county of each event is listed. Click on the event name and you will be taken to its listing under the city and county it takes place in. The listing will provide more details about the event and, also, let the user know about the surrounding stores and malls.

Please visit the Events Calendar page. We are excited to offer another tool for collectors and treasure hunters to plan their travel.
MAD's New Look and Feel
MAD Home Page Besides the new features that we have added to Michigan Antiques Directory, we have modified the look and feel of our web site. All pages within Michigan Antiques Directory have been updated with our new menu format. This new menu allows our users to have a consistant method of navigating the web site. There maybe different content within the menu depending on whether you are visiting our listing pages or our information pages but, either way, the method of navigation will be the same. In addition, the pages have been widened and a new header has been added.

MAD Home Page A link to our Events Calendar is available on every listing page, as is access to our search page. We think these modifications will make your browsing experience easier and more enjoyable.

We have also added a Legend describing our color coding and listing position within our county pages.

On the left side of the page you will find antique malls, stores and on-line stores. These listing will have blue titles.

On the right side you will find antique markets and shows with the heading of  "Antique Show" in purple.

Auctions will be found on the right with the heading of  "Antique Auction" sporting an orange color.

Antiques & collectibles dealers and businesses offering 'services of antiques' will also be found on the right, but without any color coding.

We would love to hear your thoughts on MAD's changes as well as any suggestions you might have to make your visit to our site more enjoyable.
The Library: Resource Page Replacement
Last year we decided to add "The Antiques Resource Page" which contained links to other web sites for the identification of antiques and collectibles. We have renamed that page "The Library".

On a regular basis, we receive calls or emails from people who have items that they would like to identify and/or sell. While selling items for people or businesses goes beyond the scope of our web site, it did occur to us that we could be a resource for people looking for information. We think "The Library" will be useful to collectors and dealers alike. If you have any favorites that you would like to share, please send them on.
Just a Reminder...
We invite all our clients to send us some interesting news about their store, antiquing, their part of the state or something you think people who visit MAD might find interesting. We welcome your experiences and news. Maybe you have an idea that you would like to share. Tell us how people have used MAD to find your store. Just send us an email. Please feel free to jump into future issues of the MAD RAG.

MAD Referral ProgramOur referral program is still available to our valued clients of Michigan Antiques Directory (MAD). We know that word of mouth continues to be a most reliable form of advertising. When people find a good thing, they naturally want to share that information with others who would benefit. We propose taking advantage of your conversations with other store owners about Michigan Antiques Directory to build our client base – a win for us! In return we would compensate you in the form of cash or credit to offset your advertising expenses – a win for you! Please visit our Referral Program page for details.

Over the years that Michigan Antiques Directory has been in existence we have worked hard on our search engine placement. As the years have progressed we have seen our ranking steadily improve. Our city level indexing is working within the search engines and many people are finding your stores using content searches that pick up your descriptions within your listing. If you would like to update the description of your business listing, just send us an email.

Remember... Michigan Antiques Directory is an antiques and collectibles business site that can help any antiques and collectibles seller within the state of Michigan have a central location on the Internet -- no matter how far off the beaten path their establishment may be.

If you have any questions, concerns, comments or suggestions please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you
